Five stunning Spurs free-kicks

We’ve seen some great goals by Tottenham players throughout the years and had some real set-piece wizards. We’ve picked our top five Spurs free-kicks of all time – the list has been influenced somewhat by footage what we could find online.

Notable exceptions are Razor Ruddock’s free kick vs Norwich in ’93, Hoddle’s vs Man Utd in ’79 and Clive Walker’s vs Blackburn.

The German full-back curls a superb left-footed free-kick around the Arsenal wall leaving old David “Safe Hands” Seaman grasping at thin air.

Glenn Hoddle vs Wimbledon – 1987 FA Cup Quarter-Final

Hoddle puts the tie out of Wimbledon’s reach with a thunderbolt of a free-kick late on to build on Chris Waddle’s opener.  Skip the video below to 44:13.

Gareth Bale vs Lyon – 2013 Europa League

Two stunning free-kicks from the Welshman in either half of the first-leg against the French outfit proved to be crucial.  Superb technique and how we could do with him to be fit right now!
