“Great venue for next year’s Europa League fixtures” – Piers Morgan snaps at Lord Sugar over new Spurs stadium

Arsenal supporting Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to react to Lord Sugar’s comments about the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The former Spurs chairman asked the shamed former Daily Mirror editor for his thoughts about the state of the art 62,062 capacity seater stadium following Sunday’s test event.

Arsenal moved into the Emirates Stadium in 2006 and is known for its soulless atmosphere, along with the seats being a considerable distance from the playing surface.

The opening of the new Spurs stadium will see it overtake the Emirates in terms of capacity and is now second to only Old Trafford as the largest stadium in the Premier League.

Morgan certainly took to Sugar’s bait by claiming that it will be a ‘great venue for next year’s Europa League fixtures’.

Spurs currently find themselves third in the Premier League table and are just a point ahead of Arsenal and three better off than fifth-placed Manchester United.
