Harry Kane speaks for the first time after his injury blow is confirmed

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to react to the news surrounding his latest injury blow.

The club have confirmed that the forward will not return to training until early March after sustaining damaged ligaments in his left ankle when he was caught between United’s Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof.

The injury occurred in the final moments of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Wembley and was seen hobbling off the pitch after the final whistle.

Kane is no stranger to ankle problems having endured time on the sidelines in each of the last three years.

Mauricio Pochettino is already without Heung-Min Son potentially until early February while he plays for South Korea at the Asia Cup and has already confirmed that Vincent Janssen is not in his plans.

The forward is set to miss some key upcoming matches including potentially both legs of Spurs’ Champions League last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.

Kane posted the following on Twitter.
