Opposition View: Redknapp’s post match comments

Harry Redknapp claimed he was delighted with a point against former club Tottenham at Loftus Road earlier today.

Spurs enjoyed 60 per cent of the possession during the match and we should have been ahead after five minutes if Adebayor had placed his shot either side of Julio Cesar. Instead we have had to settle for a point against the Premier League strugglers and watch Chelsea beat Stoke 4-0 as the race for a top-four finish gets even tighter.

“That was a fantastic performance,” Redknapp told the press.

“That was just as good as the performance we produced against Chelsea. We worked our socks off against a top team and I can’t ask for any more than that.”

On Cesar’s performance he said: “He didn’t have that many saves to make but the couple of ones he did make were fantastic. He’s a world class goalkeeper,”

“I thought we worked hard all over the park today and I can’t ask for more than that against a team that has been murdering other teams of late. They had a lot of possession but we restricted them to very few opportunities.”
