“He’s absolutely shocking” – Some Spurs fans react to potential arrival of midfielder

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to one of the most recent transfer rumours.

The Mirror claimed yesterday that Jose Mourinho has identified Watford midfielder Will Hughes as a potential transfer candidate before the window closes next month.

The former England under-21 star is said to be valued at £13million by the Hornets who failed to avoid the drop to the Championship from the Premier League last season.

Hughes joined Watford in June 2017 for a fee of around £8million from Derby County (Guardian) and was previously said to have been on the radar of Liverpool (Bleacher Report).

Spurs have already been active in the transfer market this summer having signed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty.

Rumours of a move to North London have caused some supporters to have their say on the possibility of Hughes lining up for Mourinho’s side in the season ahead.
