Hugo Lloris tells reporters about his future with Tottenham and France

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has hinted that he sees his long-term future at the club.

The 31-year-old French skipper has just experienced World Cup glory with his country, following the 4-2 win against Croatia on Sunday and his no intention of hanging up his gloves for his country.

I’ve always admired Lloris, he joined us in 2012 when we were the shadow of the team we now are and stuck with us through three testing Europa League campaigns when he could have been comfortably playing Champions League football for the majority of clubs across Europe.

Hugo was in his hometown of Nice yesterday and was greeted by thousands of supporters as he made a speech from the balcony at City Hall and insists that he sees himself playing for both Tottenham and France in the future.

During the press conference, Lloris was asked about the appointment of former Arsenal player Patrick Viera as Nice’s new boss and was quizzed on whether he’d one day consider ‘investing’ in one of his former sides

“I think it’s a great opportunity for Nice and for him to prove himself. As for my reconversion, we’ll wait a bit more. I still have beautiful years with Tottenham and Les Bleus ahead of me.”

I’m sure I speak for all Spurs fans when I say that we all hope Hugo is between our sticks for many, many years to come.
