Lloris urges Spurs forward

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has urged his team-mates to keep their focus and continue with our fine run of recent form as we continue our quest of Champions League football.

The French shotstopper has displaced Brad Friedel as Tottenham’s number one and has been absolutely superb since coming into the team. He has been commanding on crosses and it always kick out of the box to thwart any attacking threat which is brilliant to see.

We are now on a run where we have suffered just one defeat in our last 13 games and have closed the gap to just one point on third-placed Chelsea.

Lloris told the press: “We have to continue to be strong because Arsenal are there, and Everton as well.

“It was a good opportunity to close in on Chelsea and we took it, so it’s an important win for us.

“West Brom play good football and have two strikers with good movement but we were strong and of course the red card [for Goran Popov] changed the game, but we deserved to win.

“Gareth (Bale) was decisive and scored a fantastic goal but I thought the whole team did well. It was about team work.”
