“I can enjoy Emmerdale tomorrow” – Former Spur makes dig at Arsenal after Champions League victory

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard wasted no time in trying to wind up Arsenal fans last night.

Hazard took to Twitter following Tottenham’s impressive 3-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League round of sixteen tie.

If Spurs can navigate their way past their German opponents in the second leg, it will mean that the club will play in the quarter finals of the prestigious European competition for the second time in their history.

Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to ply their trade in the Europa League which takes place on Thursday nights. Hazard used the Thursday comparison to claim that he will enjoy watching the TV soap Emmerdale this evening.

Tottenham’s second half performance was a complete contrast from the nervy first 45 minutes.
Goals from Heung-min Son, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente sent Spurs fans into dreamland and certainly gives Mauricio Pochettino’s side a significant advantage ahead of the return fixture.
