I’ll be signing something soon – Spurs player hints at new deal

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of highly-rated Tottenham youngster Reo Griffiths over the past few months and now the striker has hinted that there is imminent news about a new contract.

The England Under-17 international has caught the eye for Spurs this season, having scored 23 goals in 18 Under-18 Premier League games this campaign, having hit 11 in 17 last year.

Griffiths is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a possible move to RB Leipzig, where former Spurs head of recruitment Paul Mitchell now works. The fear among Spurs fans is that he is yet to sign a professional deal at the club and could walk away.

Having seen winger Keanan Bennett’s move to Borussia Mönchengladbach earlier in the week for a bargain fee of £2million, Spurs fans will be hoping that the club can hold onto Griffiths.

The forward appeared in a live video on his Instagram account, where he was asked by a follower to “sign a pro contract”, to which Griffiths replies: “I’ll be signing something soon, mate. Don’t you worry about that.”

Hopefully, he is talking about staying at the club. You can check out the video below, please be aware that it does include a swear word for those who are a little bit sensitive or at work.
