Inter Milan increase bid for Spurs midfielder

Inter Milan have increased their bid for Mousa Dembele to €16 million but are still way off Tottenham Hotspur’s valuation, according to Italian sport outlet, Leggo.

The Belgian midfielder has been the subject of interest from a number of Serie A clubs including AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus with Tottenham holding a valuation of around £30 million for Dembele who has just twelve months to run on his existing deal at the club.

There has been previous interest from cash-rich Chinese clubs in the 31-year-old, of whom Tottenham would prefer to sell Dembele to rather than ship him off to Italy. However, the player himself is said to prefer to remain in Europe.

He is said to earn around £80,000 a week at Spurs and is looking for one final big pay day considering he is now on the wrong side of 30.

Dembele has previously said that his focus is on the World Cup, so it is expected that there will be no news on his future until after the tournament concludes on July 15th.
