Italian giants send Spurs a message about their new stadium

Italian giants Roma have taken to Twitter in a classy gesture to congratulate Tottenham Hotspur on the opening of their new stadium.

The stadium was originally scheduled to open for the visit of Liverpool in September of last year, the 62,026-seat venue had endured issues with “critical safety systems” forcing the team to continue playing games at its temporary home of Wembley Stadium for six months longer than had been anticipated.

After successfully holding two test events last month, Daniel Levy was finally able to bring Tottenham back to North London and began life back in N17 with a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace.

Roma’s English Twitter account described the stadium as ‘incredible’ whilst also revealing that they are looking forward to building a new home of their own.

The 52,500 seat Stadio della Roma is currently in the planning stages and will become their very own stadium, they currently share the Stadio Olympico with rivals Lazio.
