The Tanguy Ndombele transfer saga is certainly starting to frustrate some Tottenham Hotspur fans who have taken to Twitter to share their increasing pessimism that a deal can be done.

The Evening Standard reported earlier today that talks between Tottenham and Lyon are progressing with a deal getting closer to bring the French international to North London.

Ndombele recently revealed to French outlet Telefoot that he would be interested in a move to Tottenham and described the lilywhites as a ‘big club’.

The 22-year-old box to box midfielder has stated in the interview that he was in no rush to make a decision on his future and will weigh up his options return he returns from a holiday in early July.

Spurs would have to part with around £60million (Standard) if they want to sign the player who is regarded as one of the brightest young midfield talents in Europe.

Here’s how some Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to the news of the reported developments.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. What a farce. We have got Ebenezer Scrooge for a chairman. We will never win anything if he keeps there. Same goes for Joe Louis.

  2. I think collectively Ray, Joseph and Tony’s comments just about sum up how disillusioned we Spurs fans are becoming in the way Tottenham are being operated. If ever there was a time to act it is now …. and yet you suspect this will not happen with any degree of satisfaction! We’ll miss all the real targets and by some unheard of plodders who’ll take us nowhere, thats the Levy way!
