Gareth Bale’s agent has commented on the increasing speculation linking the Welshman with a move back to Tottenham Hotspur.

Jonathan Barnett has admitted that he is currently holding talks with Real Madrid and Tottenham over a potential deal.

Barnett claimed that Bale still loves his former club and it is where he wants to play his football.

Sky Sports had earlier claimed that discussions over a loan deal have already began while also holding talks with other Premier League clubs.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the 31-year-old, but are also said to be pursuing a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Bale earns a basic £600,000 a week at the Spanish giants and sources close to him told The Guardian he would be unwilling to take a pay cut.

The Welsh captain left Tottenham in 2013 to join Real Madrid for what was at the time a world record £85.3million transfer fee.

Barnet told BBC Sport Wales: “Gareth still loves Spurs,”

“We are talking [Spurs, Real and Bale’s camp]. It’s where he wants to be.”
