“We are doing a deal to take Jake on loan”

Harry Redknapp has once again spoken of his desire to sign Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore on loan.

The QPR boss has previously publically admitted his intention to take Livermore to QPR for the remainder of the season. Judging from Redknapp’s quotes below he seems confident a deal is close to completion, while AVB was more reserved on the transfer talk.

With the amount of competition in the Spurs midfield, it would be ideal for Livermore to go out and get some regular Premier League football to boost his experience.

“Livermore, yes. We are doing a deal to take Jake on loan,” Redknapp told the press.

“I like Jake, I’m a big fan of Jake’s. He is a good young player and it will be a good experience for him.”

However, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas had a different take on the potential deal for Livermore. “There is nothing confirmed yet,” he said.

“I think when we announce it it will have to be official form all three parties.”
