As the transfer rumour mill starts to pick up momentum, tonight Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with  a loan move for Manchester United’s James Wilson.

According to the Mail, over 15 clubs have registered an interest in taking the highly rated youngster on loan including West Brom who are still playing hard ball over our interest in Saido Berahino.

It almost feels like the same process we went through when we brought in Fraizer Campbell, Tottenham fans are crying out for a proven striker who can cut it at the highest level – not another wet-behind-the-ears youngster or a Rasiak.

Manchester United have already parted company with Javier Hernandez on a permanent deal, whilst Adnan Januzaj has already left the club on loan to join Borussia Dortmund.

Would you be happy with the signing of James Wilson?  Have your say by leaving your comments below.

  1. Personally I would say yes, and if Pato does not pan out then bid quickly for Austin, this way Levy can tell Peace just where he can stick Berahino. There is no point in continually bidding when their chairman has dug his heels in, and its become obvious he wants us to pay way more than Saido is actually worth atm, so why not give James Wilson a chance?

    • The chairman hasn't dug his heels in…he's holding a loaf of bread (Berahino) that a starving man (Spurs) is trying to buy…. Remember his comment…the sale of Berahino is not on our agenda…that just implies it could however well be on someone else's and if the right offer were made the deal could be done. I just hope Harry Kane isn't getting doubts as he sees how much effort we are putting in trying to assist him up front.

  2. No wonder it's called a 'Bargain Basement' because that's where you end up signing bargains. Why do we continue to leave our trading until last minute. Everyone knows we are desperate for at least one striker and as soon as we come sniffing the price zooms. Njie and Son should have been 'bedded in' weeks ago but here we go again playing catchup. Man Utd shell out 36m for Martial without batting an eyelid but we fuss and faff with loan deals for their cast offs. It's disgusting.

  3. You get what you pay for. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.Spurs need a proven striker who can work with the mighty Kane and anybody who has a proven record will cost money. We have turned our backs on a number of forwards from the premiership because they cost to much. CLASS COUNTS and CLASS COSTS.

    • Couldn't agree more Brian! Levy will never learn – his business head rules his pockets! Levy will always shop on the bargain rail.
