Jan Vertonghen Tweet message to his Spurs team mates after latest win

Jan Vertonghen posted a message of praise for his Tottenham Hotspur team mates following their clinical display of finishing against Bournemouth.

Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Harry Kane and a brace from Heung-min Son meant that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now scored eleven goals in their last two Premier League matches.

More importantly is the fact that the victory means that Spurs are now second in the Premier League table due to Manchester City’s surprise 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Vertonghen watched on Spurs are still without a draw after 19 Premier League games this season.

The Belgian central defender has been out of action with a thigh problem after sustaining the injury in the 1-1 draw against Barcelona earlier this month and has already missed the matches against Burnley, Arsenal, Everton and Bournemouth.

It is hoped that the 31-year-old will return to action next month. While he recovers, he is certainly impressed by what he saw at Wembley earlier this evening.
