Janssen wanted by Budesliga outfit

Borussia Moenchengladbach are keen to sign Tottenham forward Vincent Janssen this summer according to a report in today’s Sunday Mirror.

The Dutch striker only joined Tottenham last summer following a £17m move from AZ Alkmaar and has struggled to find the back of the net in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old had found himself behind Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son in the pecking order which has left him with limited game time.

The report suggests that Janssen would be guaranteed more first team action with the Bundesliga outfit and could look to get his career back on track after a disappointing first campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

Janssen does has some qualities, holding up the ball and playing off others, but I struggle to see how he will ever become a 15-plus goal forward at Tottenham.

Hopefully there’s some credibility in the report and we can bring in another forward who can share the burden of goals with Kane and Son.
