Jermaine Jenas takes to Twitter after Spurs beat Wolves

Former midfielder Jermaine Jenas has taken to Twitter moments after Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With the score level at 1-1 in injury time and rarely looking like they would get a winner, Spurs silenced the hosts in the first minute of injury time when Jan Vertonghen nodded in Christian Eriksen’s corner.

After the match, Jenas posted a message praising Vertonghen for his late winner.

The Belgian dusted off his trademark ‘Super Jan’ celebration in the style of Super Man before being mobbed by his team-mates.

Spurs have now won two of their three Premier League away games under José Mourinho (L1), as many as they did in Mauricio Pochettino’s final 14 away from home in the competition.

Opinion

The victory will give the players huge confidence going into next weekend’s derby against Chelsea, where they can go level on points with their rivals with victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
