Joe Jordan’s post match thoughts vs Blackburn

Tottenham coach Joe Jordan was delighted with the players following the 4-2 win against Blackburn Rovers at White Hart Lane.

He said: “I though we played exceptionally well and should have been further ahead in the first half.

“Harry is a very positive guy. He wants to play on the front foot. We picked the team to win the game.

“We are disappointed we conceded two goals. But if you do drop your concentration level that is what will happen. At 4-0 up I thought we failed to pick-up the second balls.

“I don’t think it should take anything away from the result and the football we played. The way we played the game was fantastic. We played some great football.”

“At the moment Bale is a provider and he is also scoring goals,” added Jordan.

“He is so positive going forward but he also does a shift when we have not got the ball. He has got the energy to do that.

“I think Crouchy deserved it. He has scored his goals abroad this season. But to get it in the manner he did, typifies his game. He followed it up and pounced. It was a terrific goal.”

  1. Great win but its a shame the two goals we conceded kept us in sixth with Bolton Basher winning . Our weakest link is defence and clean sheet would have gone a long way to repairing it but Gallas was injured and he was limping. The one person worrying me is our Octopus Gomes his letting every shot get past him and he needs to stretch his tentacles a bit more because Cuddi his waiting with his claws to snatch the gloves of him.

  2. Agreed. We played two upfront and it was wonderful attacking display. Jenas, Mod And VDV seemed to work well together. All making intelligent runs and playing wonderful through balls. Defensively worrying. What on earth was Gomes doing on the 2nd goal. Ball was straight at him but he moved. Weird one.

  3. Kaboul should take the penalties! He would just blast it past any keeper!
Chelsea 0 Sund 3. I guess we did alrite to get a 1-1 draw?
