Jose Mourinho has provided a team news update to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Ludogorets press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the visit of their Europa League opponents to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening.
Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing after the coronavirus pandemic means that journalists can no longer attend Hotspur Way to post their questions to the Portuguese in person.
Tottenham currently occupy top spot in Group J with two wins out of their opening three matches while their Bulgarian opponents are yet to register a point.
Mourinho revealed that Toby Alderweireld will miss the match with a muscular injury but the injury is not bad as first feared after he was forced off in the latter stages of the 2-0 victory against Manchester City.
Matt Doherty, who has recently covered from COVID is available but may not be ready to start.
