Journalist claims Mourinho has dropped first-team regular for Chelsea match

Daily Telegraph football correspondent Matt Law has taken to Twitter to reveal that Dele Alli will be named among the Tottenham Hotspur substitutes this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho’s team selection will be announced shortly and the midfielder who started Tottenham’s midweek Champions League round of sixteen first leg defeat at home to RB Leipzig will find himself out of the starting eleven.

Dele reacted furiously to being substitutes against the German outfit on Wednesday night when he was seen throwing his football boot to the floor with fury following Mourinho’s decision to bring on Erik Lamela in his place.

The England international has a good record at Stamford Bridge but it appears that he will have to make an impact off the bench if he is to help Spurs to climb to fourth place in the Premier League table this afternoon.

A win for Spurs would take them two points ahead of their rivals.
