Journalist claims Spurs have moved training session for this reason

Tottenham Hotspur have moved their scheduled training session for this morning to later in the afternoon.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has reported that the session has been moved to allow for time for a new manager to be put in place to lead the side out onto the training field at Hotspur Way. That new manager has since been confirmed as Jose Mourinho.

The decision comes after the club confirmed that they have parted company with Mauricio Pochettino following the poor start to the new season.

Spurs find themselves in fourteenth place in the Premier League table having only managed to win three of their opening twelve too flight matches.

The North London club make the short trip across the capital on Saturday following the international break to take on rivals West Ham United who have also struggled during the current campaign.

Jose Mourinho has signed a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season after being out of work since leaving Manchester United last December (Spurs official).
