Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be very active in the current transfer window after going over 500 days without recruiting a fresh face.
One player who is said to be on the North London club’s radar is Saint-Etienne youngster William Saliba.
The France Under-20 international made 13 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Saint-Etienne last season.
Manu Lonjon, a French football journalist for Yahoo Sport has claimed on Twitter that Arsenal will hold talks over a possible deal for the 18-year-old early this week.
The Daily Star have previously reported that Arsenal are prepared to part with just over £20milion to land the highly-rated central defender ahead of their rivals and could see him return to Saint-Etienne on loan next season.
Spurs are already relatively well covered at the heart of their defence with Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez along with Eric Dier who can also drop back from midfield.
