It has emerged today that the agent of current Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar has held talks with
The Brazilin number one has spend the last 7 years of his playing career at the Italian giants, but
now looks set to leave the club with the arrival of Samir Handanovic from Udinese. The player’s
agent, Josias Cardoso, has stirred suspicion of a move for the goal keeper by confirming that talks
have been held with a number of different clubs, including Tottenham Hotpsur, but denied that any
form of a deal had been made yet.
Cardoso told Tuttosport “Some clubs indeed contacted us, but we asked them to contact Inter Milan, the club that own his rights. There is nothing certain yet”.
The agent went on to confirm Tottenham’s interest, stating “There are talks with Tottenham, but the
English club has not yet made official steps”.
Should Spurs be the eventual destination of Cesar, the move may spell the end of current Brazilian
goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes’ career at the club. Having already fell behind Brad Friedel and Carlo
Cudicini in the peaking order at White Hart Lane, the former PSV player has found his fist team
