Kaboul to be ready for Everton

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul could return to first-team action early next month following a knee injury.

The French defender has been out of action since picking up the injury in our opening day defeat at Newcastle in August and his return will represent a massive boost to our defence.

With Kaboul, Dawson and Vertonghen we have three quality central defenders alongside Steven Caulker. It is expected that William Gallas will leave the club during the summer.

Kaboul is now back in full training and could face Everton on April 7th.

“He has trained the last two days 100 per cent with the team,” the Tottenham manager said.

“He is going to rest on Friday and next week he is going to come back and train again with the team.

“If he doesn’t feel any pain, it can mean he will be match fit in 10 days if it all goes without interruption – 10-15 days.

“But we have to be careful because it is a very sensitive situation for him.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Not many people know his knee is fast becoming a problem like Ledley King's. After training his knee keeps swelling up and causing pain, he is 100% out for the season. Information from someone close to the team.

  2. there is no point rushing the guy bk…. we have dawson and jan in centre, both can do a top job, need to worry more about who is gonna score the goals till the end of the season!

    • Give Kabul time too get back too he's best . There's no point rushing him back if it means him picking up another injury and being out for another season.. We got bigger things too worry about , like getting shot off adebayor and bringing in someone ho can score a goal ! Worse player on the team

  3. we need to get of adebyors back, now he has scored he should start to get some confidence back and hopefully start scoring, he has been getting some poor passes into him, a target man needs quick ball to his feet so he can bring others into the game, I know it is frustrating give him support and I think he will come good
