Kane reveals when he’s returning to Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has confirmed to Sky Sports that he will return for pre-season on August 6th, just five days before our Premier League campaign begins.

After an exhaustive World Cup campaign with England, in which he skippered the side to the semi-final of the competition, Kane, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Dele have been given time off to recover and miss Tottenham’s tour of the USA.

Kane will be looking to hit the ground running when Spurs travel to St James Park on the opening Saturday of the season against Newcastle United and will be looking to score his first ever Premier League goal in the month of August.

More importantly to Kane will be the prospect of regaining the Premier League top goalscorer award from Liverpool’s Mo Salah to add to his World Cup golden boot.

“I’m back on August 6 so obviously I’ll keep training until then,” Kane told Sky Sports News.

“But the Premier League starts on the 11th so we’ve got to make sure we are fit and ready to go. It’s a quick break but that’s part and parcel of the World Cup and things like that.”

Hopefully, come August 6th, Levy has finally got his cheque book out to try and help Kane with the goalscoring burden.
