Lawro has his say on who will win between Spurs and Man City

BBC football ‘pundit’ Mark Lawrenson has had his say on who he thinks will win the Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday.

Tottenham come into the match having not lost a league match in 2018, a run that spans 16 matches. Ironically, our last league defeat was the disappointing 4-1 result suffered at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s side on December 16th.

City on the other hand, albeit with one hand on the title have lost their last three matches, which includes a Champions League exit and a wasted opportunity to clinch the title at near neighbours Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for his players to continue their rich vein of form as we continue to look to cement our place in the top four and more importantly, a third successive Champions League campaign.

Lawro told BBC Sport Online: “Tottenham were not having a good spell when they got hammered 4-1 by City earlier in the season, but things are very different now.

“I think City would take a draw after the week they have had. That will delay the title party a little longer, but they are still going to win the league – it is just a matter of time.

“Lawro’s prediction: 1-1.”
