Lawro predicts who will win the Spurs v Huddersfield match

BBC football ‘pundit’ Mark Lawrenson has had his say on who he thinks will win the Premier League encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town at Wembley.

On paper, I’m sure even the most pessimistic Tottenham fan will admit that they will be expecting three points from this match.

Since the start of last season, Spurs have lost just one of their 33 Premier League home games, picking up 84 points from those games – more than any other side (W26 D6 L1) coupled with the fact that we are currently enjoying the Premier League’s longest unbeaten run (10 games – W7 D3 L0), last losing at Manchester City in December.

Lawrenson told BBC Sport Online: “Huddersfield have won back-to-back games after sliding down the table, but it is hard to see them making it three wins in a row.

“Tottenham are on a 16-game unbeaten run in all competitions and quite a few of their fringe players have been given minutes in the FA Cup too.

“The Terriers will go to Wembley and try to make it difficult for Spurs, but I don’t see them stopping them.

“Lawro’s prediction: 2-0.”
