Sky Sports are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur will not be signing either Demarai Gray or Riyad Mahrez before the transfer window closes.
The Leicester City pair have been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over the past few weeks, but it appears as if neither will be joining Mauricio Pochettino’s ranks.
Spurs are said to have had a £25million bid rejected for Gray a couple of weeks ago, but did not revisit their offer. While the future of Mahrez looks to still be determined after he requested a transfer away from the Foxes at the end of last season.
Instead, it looks like Tottenham fans will be likely to see Fernando Llorente and possible Andre Gomes join the club. Meanwhile, Vincent Janssen is being linked with a move to Stoke City, which could pick up momentum if and when Llorente is confirmed as a Spur.
With just over 3 hours to go, there’s still hopefully plenty of business to be done.
