“If we want to play in the Champions League we want to win games like these”

Lewis Holtby is confident that Tottenham can still qualify for Champions League football.

After only managing a draw against Everton on Sunday we find ourselves out of the driving seat for a top four finish, with Chelsea and Arsenal both having played a game less than us.

It will be a massive challenge for us to finish in the top four, but Holtby has confidence that he and his team-mates can achieve their goal. We face some tough matches on the horizon against the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.

I wish I shared the confidence of Holtby, but we face an uphill task.

“At the end of the day, if we want to play in the Champions League we want to win games like these,” said Holtby.

“But we’ve still got decisive games against City at home and against Chelsea away, which are going to be big games.

“The games against Southampton and Sunderland are also ones we have to win to get those points to stay up there in the top four.

“I’m confident that we can do it because we have a lot of quality in our side.”
