Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-23’s are in action this afternoon against their Derby County counterparts.
The team news was released a few minutes ago and there are two notable absentees from John McDermott’s side.
Troy Parrott, who scored a brace in the recent match against Manchester City at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is missing after he came off in the game with a knock, while Japhet Tanganga is also excluded.
Tanganga was part of the ‘travelling’ first team squad for the Premier League opener against Aston Villa but did not match it into the match day sixteen. The 20-year-old was included as cover despite the fact that fellow central defender Jan Vertonghen was left in the stands.
McDermott is also without a number of his regular starts who have headed out on loan in recent days which includes Kazaiah Sterling, Jack Roles, Anthony Georgiou and George Marsh.
Alfie Whiteman is handed a rare start in goal.
