Lineker reminds Arsenal fans that Pochettino beats Wenger to Premier League milestone

Victory for Tottenham Hotspur against Burnley this afternoon saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side earn a vital three points.

However, for the Spurs boss there was also a personal milestone that saw him record his 100th Premier League win in charge of the club, taking 169 matches to reach the century.

Former Spurs striker and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker took to Twitter to remind people of the achievement and also to compare Pochettino’s record to Arsene Wenger’s.

The former Arsenal manager took 179 Premier League encounters to reach his tally of 100 games won, meaning that Pochettino took ten games less to do so.

It’s always nice to get one over on Arsenal and there is no doubt their immediate reaction will be what trophies have Spurs won. That can be further discussed after Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup match at the Emirates to see who gets the latest round of bragging rights in North London as both teams vie progress in the cup competition.
