“Liverpool get everything their own way” – Some fans fume over lack of consistency

Tottenham Hotspur made it to the Champions League final against all odds last season when it looked as if at one stage, they wouldn’t even progress out of their group.

The knockout stages against Manchester City and Ajax were filled with drama and suspense which led some to think whether our name was destined to be on the prestigious European trophy for the first time in history.

Liverpool were set on their way in the final in Madrid with a penalty after two minutes when Moussa Sissoko was contentiously punished for a handball.

Spurs failed to recover from the early setback and Jurgen Klopp’s side went on to lift the trophy for the sixth time.

Yesterday afternoon, Liverpool were once again the subject of a handball when they escaped punishment when the ball made contact with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s arm in the top of the table clash against Manchester City.

Some fans took to Twitter following the incident to express their frustration for a lack of consistency across both decisions.
