Lloris pulls off the best save of the World Cup to deny Spurs team-mate

Hugo Lloris has pulled off yet another absolutely world class save at the World Cup and ironically it was to deny a fellow Tottenham Hotspur player.

When the ball dropped to Toby Alderweireld in the French penalty area and he curled it goalwards with his left foot, he must have thought it was heading in to the right corner, only for the French captain to superbly claw it away from the back of the net.

Lloris has had a fantastic World Cup to date and this save builds on the amazing effort during the Uruguay game.

I may be biased, but Lloris is the best keeper in the Premier League. I’d take him ahead of David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois every day of the week.

Take a look at the save, below.
