Loan offer tabled for Tottenham’s £18.8m flop

Vincent Janssen looks set to be packing his bags yet again with a likely loan return to Fenerbahce on the cards.

According to Sky Sports, the Turkish outfit have opened talks with Tottenham this week about taking the 24-year-old on a season-long stint for the second season in succession.

Tottenham are said to be open to the £18.8million signing leaving the club on loan, but want to include a clause in the agreement where Fenerbahce must buy Janssen the following season.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke yesterday during Tottenham’s tour of the USA and suggested that the Dutch international is not part of his future squad plans.

The Spurs boss said: “I think it’s different personal situations for different players. It’s clear the situation for players like Vincent.”

The club originally had high hopes for the striker after he caught the eye for AZ Alkmaar and finished the league’s top goalscorer, but could only manage two Premier League goals in his first season at the club.

Hopefully we can ship Janssen out this week, clear some room off our wage bill to free up some new signings. I’d also be happy to see the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Fernando Llorente also leave the club this summer.
