Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to Dennis Cirkin’s performance against Ipswich Town.
The 18-year-old left-back started the match on the bench against the League One side and was brought on by Jose Mourinho for the second half.
Soon after arriving in North London last November, Mourinho revealed that he had watched video footage of the academy graduate and decided to involve him in training with his first team (Football.London).
Last season, Cirkin was named on the bench for the FA Cup games against Middlesbrough and Southampton, along with the Premier League match against Everton in June but is yet to make his senior competitive debut for Tottenham (transfermarkt).
Cirkin looked comfortable both in defence and going forward while showing he is comfortable on the ball whilst under pressure.
Many Spurs fans left positive words of encouragement for the left-footer after he posted on Twitter to express his delight at featuring against the Tractor Boys.
Cirkin really impressed me. He looks to have bags of potential. #TOTIPS
