Lord Sugar blasts Spurs player after win against Newcastle

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Alan Sugar took to Twitter to criticise Fernando Llorente during the 1-0 win against Newcastle United.

Llorente had moments ago provided the assist for Heung-min Son to break the deadlock against the Magpies when his hold up play set up the South Korean to find the back of the net.

The Spaniard had the chance to double Tottenham’s lead when Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka came out of his goal and the Spurs forward failed to score from the angle.

Lord Sugar was not impressed with the missed opportunity and vented his frustration on social media.

Despite the miss, Llorente continues to have an impact in front of goal in recent weeks. He has been involved in seven goals in his past eight appearances for Tottenham in all competitions.

The victory now takes Spurs into second in the table and heaps the pressure back on Liverpool and Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
