Lord Sugar fumes at unfair Tottenham decision that proved costly

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar took to Twitter to share his view on the second red card decision during the 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth yesterday afternoon.

Tottenham had already been rocked just minutes before the half time whistle when Heung-min Son was given his marching orders for a push on Cherries player Jefferson Lerma.

Mauricio Pochettino decided to make two changes at the break when he made a double substitution by bringing on Victor Wanyama and Juan Foyth for Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld to lower the risk of a second dismissal after the pair had been shown respective yellow cards during the opening half.

Foyth had been on the field for less than three minutes when he challenged for the ball with his studs raised which caught the attention of referee Craig Pawson and reduced Tottenham to nine men.

Sugar believed that the decision to show the 21-year-old a red card was incorrect.

It was a foolish challenge by Foyth who continues to show flashes of his inexperience at crucial moments.
