Lord Sugar makes chilling Spurs prediction and gives verdict on Kane display

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar had plenty to say on Twitter following the club’s FA Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Manchester United.

After taking the lead through Dele Alli, Spurs fans were hopeful of the club making their first FA Cup final since lifting the trophy in 1991, however two United goals condemned us to our eighth successive semi-final exit to the frustration of the Spurs faithful.

Sugar made a prediction that Tottenham will finish the season in ‘Spursy’ style, with The Apprentice host suggesting that Chelsea will finish above us in the Premier League and pip us to Champions League football.

Harry Kane also did not escape Sugar’s thoughts with his performance at Wembley and suggested that the striker is still injured following his recent spell on the sidelines.

  1. I thought Harry Kane had improved a little from his last two matches but must agree he might still be carrying that old injury , quite a few Spurs players are not good enough Levy must spend on quality not on poor cheap never will make it in the Premiership , a perfect example is Lucas who is another Lamela that we will have to wait on trying to cope with the speed the strength the roughness of the EPL , players hitting the ground running is what is required slow maturing players is bad for business .

  2. It is the ultimate nightmare end to the season. I have the same fears myself; l look at the remaining games and think we must be there and then realise that Chelsea, my most hated team (yes, even above Arsenal) would enjoy nothing better than to deprive us yet again.
We have got to get over this ‘Spursy’ thing. We had a great opportunity to win the FA Cup this season but yet again, for the eight time running, we blew it. Man Utd are not a great side and we should be waking up this morning to discover who we will be playing in the final. Oh wait, that’s a dream . . .
Alan Sugar usually talks a lot of sense but l hope he is wrong on this issue.

  3. What’s to say? I think HK may not have been 100%. I do not think any team outside the current top four will catch Spurs. He’s guessing MU will win the cup. He’s entitled to have a guess.

  4. Disagree with Sugar re Spurs loosing 4th place to Chelsea we would have to loose 2 of the 4 remaining games
of which 3 are at home and chelsea would have to win all 4 of their games (1 is against Liverpool)
We really need his negativity COYS

  5. Pochettino is still learning his trade and the best is yet to come. As a manager he is still naïve, no plan B, too loyal to failing stars and cannot seem to get these players over the line as a single unit of professional footballers. Worst though and following our short comings this season is the, ‘gutless, pathetic and weak minded’ displays from our so called superstars. They don’t realise that once on the pitch the buck stops with them. They have had the destiny of the club in their hands in recent years. All wishing for bigger clubs and huge wages. But none of this present squad have the intelligence, strength of mind, and determination to get our club to where it should really be. Now for the final matches where we throw everything away and slip up on 4th place.

  6. Just picking up on the above. It was always on the cards that Chelski could be 2 points behind by the time we play Watford. Just depends on the players characters now. Chelski will beat Liverpool as they always seem to do, especially if they have qualified for CL and secured top place.

I would rather be the hunted this time round. Need a new Captain that will impse on Pitch, it’s not a goalkeeper. One last thought on Poch and his buys, Sissoko, Janssen, N’kodou, N’jie, Aurier, Llorente, Davies, Trippier, Lamela, Eriksen, Ali, Moura, Vorm. Spent an awful lot of M££’s not to win a trophy. Point is that most of these buys are rubbish, so Levy will not be happy. Latas

      • I thought davies and trippier are a good buy davies is consistent moura has shown one or two positive things probably needs more time to get use to the prem as for ali…….well he only cost 5 mil, probably worth at least £150mil now, that really not a bad signing Janssen and N’kodou we still own them but has failed to pive to our expectations as for Sissoko, Aurier, Llorente they need to get rid of these I am more disappointed with llorente than anyone else cuz the amount of chances he’s had for a player of his quality has been rubbish. N’jie he did really well before he had that knee injury wasn’t the same after that time off, which was a shame really cuz he had pace and skill.

  7. I think he should’ve played lloris yesterday play 3 at the back sanchez, toby, vertonghen and attack like they normally do. Son has gone off the boil since kane back from injury and I also feel everyone knows how to handle with kane’s presence as well as he’s carrying an ongoing injury. Everyone is missing something crucial about the game yesterday that right back for man utd made arguably 3 bookable offence before he scored! He shouldn’t have been on the bloody pitch and this is the second time a team has run down the clock on us (the other against juve) we waited 2 minutes for valencia to go off then the amount of time de guea took his goal kicks then when sanchez came off who took his time so yea I reckon we lost a good 10 minutes cuz of them running the clock down.
As for Chelsea catching us up…….I bloody hope note but 5points clear now, that use to be 9 when we beat them and I have seen this sort of thing over and over again we’ve always ben the punch line to everyone and I hope they can get these wins in place.
It all singing and dancing for these players, they’re alright with a paycheck every week they can get a transfer elsewhere the manager can leave but us fans that has to suffer time and time again! Time to give what the fans wants levy open your check book sign bale give what toby wants and challenge city for the premier league cuz that what man utd, arsenal, liverpool and Chelsea are gonna do as well as Everton and Newcastle are gonna do.
