Lors Sugar has taken to Twitter to predict a miserable Christmas period ahead for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former chairman reacted after watching Jose Mourinho’s side underperform in the 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs were top of the Premier League table at the start of the month and had been mentioned being potential title contenders by former striker Peter Crouch (Sky Sports).
Consecutive defeats to Liverpool and the Foxes have seen Spurs drop down to fifth place and are now six points behind Jurgen Klopp’s champions.
Sugar claimed that it is normal for the North Londoners to struggle over the festive period and will likely only pick up one point for their efforts.
Tottenham are next in Premier League action on Sunday when they face the tough trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers before hosting top flight newcomers Fulham in North London just three days later.
It's Christmas and it's the normal time of year for a Spurs decline. It's normal for Spurs to come through the Christmas period with just one point.
