‘Lucky’ – Former Tottenham chairman reacts to late win against West Brom

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has reacted on Twitter after the nervy late victory against West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies frustrated the North Londoners who bosted an array of attacking talent in their starting eleven including the axis of Gareth Bale, Heung-min Son and Harry Kane.

With the opportunity to go top of the Premier League at stake for Jose Mourinho’s men, it looked as if they were going to spurn the chance after failing to create many clear cut chances at The Hawthorns.

Sugar took to Twitter following the final whistle to admit that Spurs were lucky to come away from the Midlands with all three points after Harry Kane headed in Matt Doherty’s pin-point cross in the 88th minute to seal a dramatic victory.

The former chairman expressed his sympathy for Slaven Bilic’s side who remain without a win since returning to the top flight and have just three points from the opening eight matches.
