Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final first leg against Manchester City was overshadowed by an injury to Harry Kane.
The Spurs striker appeared to rolled his ankle during a reckless and heavy challenge with City defender Fabian Delph near the touch line to the anger of Mauricio Pochettino.
Kane stayed down off the pitch and had to be helped to the dressing room by two of the club’s backroom staff to receive further treatment on what could be another ankle ligament problem.
The forward suffered left ankle ligament damage during the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in January which kept him sidelined for over a month and it is again the same ankle which has been re-injured.
Sugar took to Twitter during the victory to voice his concerns that Kane’s season could now be over which would be a huge blow to Tottenham’s hopes for a top four finish and progression to the semi final of the Champions League.
