Lord Sugar was not happy with the officials during the Burnley defeat

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar was not impressed with Mike Dean and his officials after their error led to an opening goal for Burnley.

The goal proved to be costly for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after they lost 2-1 to the Clarets which has certainly almost ended their hopes of challenging Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.

Jan Vertonghen’s sliding challenge saw the ball come off a Burnley player before heading out of play, but the home side were awarded a corner from which Chris Wood headed in.

Pochettino protested to the fourth official that the corner should not have been given which fell on deaf ears.

Sugar, who was watching the match vented his frustration at the decision on social media as the game was unfolding by claiming Spurs were cheated out of a goal kick.

Harry Kane went on to level the score, but Ashley Barnes scored a late winner for Sean Dyche’s side to leave Spurs fans heartbroken.
