Lucky to finish fourth – Former Spurs chairman rants on Twitter

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Alan Sugar has taken to Twitter to claim that the club are lucky to qualify for Champions League football next season.

With Mauricio Pochettino’s side losing to Leicester City and Liverpool leading against Brighton, Tottenham will finish the season in fourth place in the Premier League table.

Sugar believes that considering Tottenham’s form since the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United, we should consider ourselves thankful that we will be playing in a third successive Champions League campaign next season.

Since the FA Cup defeat, Tottenham have dropped points against Brighton (draw) and (West Brom), but Chelsea’s bottle job efforts in trying to chase us down means that we will finish in the top four.

This is what Sugar had to say on Twitter.
