The manager Spurs wanted to replace Tim Sherwood

It has been revealed who exactly the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy had in mind to replace Tim Sherwood in 2013/2014.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham were one of the clubs to have made an approach for Jurgen Klopp before he decided to make the move to Liverpool.

Klopp had build a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising managers in a seven-year stint at Borussia
Dortmund which saw him lift the Bundesliga twice.

Manchester United and City also made approaches for Klopp during his time at Dortmund.

As history goes, Tottenham ended up recruiting Mauricio Pochettino from Southampton and the rest is history. We have gone from strength to strength under the Argentinean, who continues to transform the club into a position which would make Bill Nicholson proud.

Would you have preferred Klopp to have been Spurs manager, or are you happy with Pochettino? Have your say below.
