Manchester United player sends classy message to Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur found themselves behind against Brighton after just two three of action on the south coast.

It was yet another terrible start from Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Pascal Gross sent in an in-swinging cross in from the left and which was straight at Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman seemed to lose his bearings and his balance and was heading back over his own line with the ball in his hands and dropped it, allowing Neal Maupay the simplest of finishes.

Lloris’ error cost himself dearly after suffering a serious left arm injury which saw him requiring oxygen within his own goal before later being stretchered and taken to hospital.

After the incident, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea showed true class by posting a message of support for Lloris following the injury.

Lloris was replaced by Paulo Gazzaniga who hardly covered himself in glory when he fumbled the ball which led to Brighton’s second goal.
