Mark Lawrenson on who will win between Spurs and Bournemouth

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Bournemouth tomorrow afternoon.

Spurs head into the match with a 100% record under new head coach Jose Mourinho having beaten both West Ham United and Olympiacos in his first two outings in charge.

The North London club find themselves nine points behind rivals Chelsea who currently occupy fourth place in the Premier League table.

On paper this is a match which most Spurs fans would be expecting the club to gain all three points from.

Defensively, Spurs looked shaky once again on Tuesday night with Olympiacos taking a surprise 2-0 lead within the first twenty minutes of action.

Lawrenson has tipped Tottenham to continue their recent rival whilst also predicting a rare clean sheet for the home side.

Spurs will be without Hugo Lloris (elbow), Michel Vorm (ankle), Ben Davies (ankle) and Erik Lamela (hamstring) for the visit of the Cherries (Spurs official).

He told BBC Sport: “Jose’s back: played two and won two, and I can see Tottenham’s revival continuing this weekend.

“It is a different voice in the changing room and on the training pitch and I can see Spurs going on a run now.

“I also can’t recall Bournemouth going to too many of the top six and getting a result so I think Tottenham will win this one.”

“Lawro’s prediction: 2-0.”
