Mark Lawrenson predicts who will between Wolves and Spurs

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs head into the match on the back of a Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich with Jose Mourinho deciding to shuffle his side ahead of the Premier League encounter.

Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen, Serge Aurier and Dele Alli were all rested against the Bundesliga giants and will be likely to be involved at Molineux, especially with the disappointing peformances from a number of players who had the opportunity to impress the manager.

Wolves sit one place and a single point above Spurs in the top flight table in what could be a crucial match in the battle for a top four finish come the end of the season.

Lawrenson has backed Spurs to pick up all theee points and keep their second successive Premier League clean sheet.

He told BBC Sport Online: “Wolves are unbeaten in the Premier League since mid-September – 11 games ago – and it is clear they have got a bit of extra quality going right through their side.

“Those runs cannot last forever though, and I am going to go for a Tottenham win.

“Spurs boss Jose Mourinho made loads of changes against Bayern Munich in midweek which will help ahead of this game.

“Mourinho’s side were poor when they lost at Old Trafford last week. I don’t think he will let them be as bad again at Molineux.”

Lawro’s prediction: 0-2
