The Tottenham Hotspur squad for today’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United was announced moments ago and some fans have already been reacting to the starting line up on Twitter.

After beating Watford 2-1 on Wednesday night, courtesy of two goals in the last ten minutes from Heung-min Son and Fernando Llorente, Mauricio Pochettino has made changes to his starting eleven with Llorente dropping down to the bench and Lucas Moura coming into the team.

Elsewhere Kieran Trippier starts at right-back, with Vertonghen on the left side and Rose among the subs.

Newcastle come into the game high on confidence following their surprise win against Manchester City at St James’ Park in midweek.

Spurs will need to keep an eye on Salomón Rondón, who has scored six Premier League goals this season – twice as many as any other Newcastle player. However, the Venezuelan hasn’t scored in consecutive top-flight appearances since September 2016.

Here’s what some Spurs fans have had to say about the team selection.
