Harry Kane and Erik Lamela scored as Tottenham Hotspur ended their three-game losing streak this evening with a 2-1 win over Brighton at the Amex.

Kane smashed in a first half penalty after a Glenn Murray bizarrely stuck out an arm to block Kieran Trippier’s free kick when in the wall.

Erik Lamela then scored in the 76th minute to seemingly confirm the three points for Tottenham, but Anthony Knockaert’s stoppage time strike gave the visitors a few nervy minutes to see out.

Mauricio Pochettino had been feeling the pressure after three straight defeats but the win at a rainy Amex Stadium will do wonders for confidence in his squad.
